Pat Todd

Biography

As the daughter of a commercial illustrator in New York City, Pat grew up watching her father produce pictures for advertising and magazine illustrations. She saw how he combined design, form, and content to convey a message.

Pat’s work reflects this early influence. It is grounded in realism, has a strong narrative quality, and often, includes a sense of mystery. Her paintings invite you into her personal space. They have a decided sense of belonging and of place. She tells us a compelling story through strong shapes, values, and bold color relationships.
